What I Like!
- Built for teams that need more than just password storage. it offers features like Secrets Automation. Which is great for DevOps teams managing infrastructure.
- 1Password has a unique Travel Mode that hides sensitive data when you’re crossing borders.
- It integrates well with a ton of tools that industry teams may already use like Slack, Azure, Okta, and more.
- The Watchtower feature helps you stay ahead of weak or reused passwords.
What Could Be Better.
- It’s pricier than competitors, especially for smaller teams.
- They don’t have any free plans for teams, only a short trial.
- some of the advanced features take time to set up and learn.
Ease of Use
In my experience 1Password is very user friendly! It is built with everyday users in mind, so most people can jump in and start using it without needing a start up guide. The interface is pretty clean and modern. Especially if you’re used to working with productivity tools like Slack or Trello.
Organizing logins into shared “vaults” makes it easy for teams to manage access without constantly messaging each other for credentials. The browser extension is also a huge time saver, it can auto fill logins, suggest strong passwords, and alert you if a password has been compromised. In the short experience I have with 1Password, it has been a great tool and super easy to use.
